Mayor Jim spoke last week not only about working with the city council in Solvang, but also about the numerous county, regional and state committees and commissions he has served with. He says he lovesw it, but its entirely too much works for someone who is supposed to be retired.

 

A committee to raise funds for the Rose Parade float was formed. A bucket was passed at ehe meeting. If you missed it, its not too late.

 

The directors of the club held their monthly meeting on 8/9. The budget for the year was approved. A committee was formed to organize a 15th anniversary celebration for the club on January 22, 2017. Ron Walsh is the chair. It was noted that Day in the Country and the district conference are both on 10/15.

An outing to Allan Hancock College's wine making facility on the Santa Maria campus is being planned. An issue is the early time we will have to be there.
