We are in the final quarter of our Rotary year and what a year it's been! I know we are all grateful to be back in person at the Grange but it's so nice to have the flexibility to attend by Zoom whenever you want or need to. And we're so glad this has allowed us to keep founding member Dean Davidge with us on a regular basis!
We are excited to be welcoming new members to our club (Donna and Peter, welcome!!) with more to come very soon. And Jazz and Olives is back, baby! And we are all really gearing up for it. Much gratitude to Jim Lohnas and Steve for co-chairing, which means so much extra work for them, and everyone who is pitching in to get wine and auction donations. This event only works when we all embrace the saying "many hands make light work". The proceeds from this big event are what powers all of our giving ability, so let's hope this is a big success for us all--and the community!
Read on for more updates and thank you all for making us The Little Club that Can and Does!
Zefa Tullis-Thompson and Charlotte Hecker shared their RYLA experience with the Club - one was virtual and the other in-person!
Zefa is the President of the Interact Club that we support at Dunn and is making great waves with her latest endeavor Soles for Souls - donating gently used shoes to those in need; receiving donations from Dunn students, Los Olivos Rotary Club members and the Community! She also participated in a Leadership program in South Africa last summer which she shared in photos and a wonderful narrative. A great comraderie experience for her!
Charlotte shared her RYLA experience and she was really moved by the amazing people she met at the conference and the impact each of the Speakers. She shared some great photos of her experience and was so exhausted at the end that she fell asleep on the ride home!
