President's Message

Greetings All!  As  your Club President,  I’m excited and hopeful for this 2020-2021 Rotary year.  And, above all, I am grateful to be given the honor to lead this wonderful little club “that can and does.”

As I start my term as  Club President,  I have to say that these past several months have been without a doubt the most unusual and difficult to navigate.  I am proud that our club has weathered  the storm by meeting virtually and staying engaged.  I think I can say that we are all grateful to Past President Brendan Doherty for all his efforts when the pandemic first hit, as well as for his leadership during the past Rotary year.

So many things are uncertain for us these days but one thing I am confident of is that our little club will continue to be vibrant and of service to our community in a variety of ways.  Working together as a club I know we will be able to support our Valley residents and deserving organizations throughout this year of “Caring for our Community.”

I am happy to report we recently held our first Club Board of Director meeting of the 2020-2021 year. In the meeting we were able to craft the annual club budget, adopt some changes to our meeting schedule and create a new “Members Care” club support service.  Our five Avenues of Service Chairs are working hard on setting their goals and projects for the year as well.  We’ve got some great things in the works for our special little club!   So please…stay tuned, stay engaged and, above all, stay safe.

I'm looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Yours in Rotary,

Chris

We gave President Brendan Doherty the best send-off we could manage in the middle of a pandemic and thanked him profusely for his wonderful efforts for the Club during his year, which was made extra challenging thanks to Covid-19.  We hope that he enjoys the club's gift of a Craftsman saw now that he will have a little extra time, post-presidency.  Thank you, Brendan!!
